Adidas Pop-Up Shop

Bad Ape partnered with Adidas and Dubit to launch Adidas' wave of pop-up stores across Roblox. The activation brought officially licensed digital wearables into high-traffic Roblox experiences, turning avatar customisation into a commerce-driven brand moment.

The Challenge

Adidas wanted to enter Roblox in a way that felt native to the platform's culture of self-expression and user-generated content. The brand needed to reach a new generation of digital-first consumers without disrupting gameplay or feeling like a traditional retail takeover.

The challenge was to integrate officially licensed digital apparel across multiple popular Roblox experiences while maintaining authenticity, scarcity, and cultural relevance. The experience had to balance brand equity with platform fluency, ensuring that Adidas showed up as part of the community rather than outside it.

The Solution

Bad Ape helped deploy an Adidas pop-up store inside our high-traffic Roblox partnered game Play for UGC.

Players could purchase officially licensed Adidas digital apparel directly within the experiences using Robux, seamlessly integrating commerce into gameplay. The collection featured platform-adapted versions of iconic pieces such as Firebird tracksuits, alongside limited-edition drops created in collaboration with Roblox creator Rush Bogin (Rush X).

To drive urgency and repeat engagement, exclusive UGC items were released on a first-come, first-served basis, with new drops scheduled weekly. This drop-based strategy mirrored streetwear culture, generating anticipation and sustained visibility across multiple Roblox communities.

By embedding branded commerce within immersive gameplay environments, the activation fused physical fashion heritage with digital identity, ultimately positioning Adidas at the forefront of avatar-driven self-expression.
